White Buffalo Recovery Center is an Indian Health Service 638 contract program with the Northern Arapaho Tribe. The program provides direct outpatient treatment services, recovery support services and prevention services to I.H.S. eligible adolescents and adults who reside on or near the reservation. The Recovery Home is a new facility which provides Level 3.1 Transitional living. Shifts include evenings and weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Works daily with residents to provide support, encouragement, and guidance
2. Documents resident information in ACCUCARE system in a timely manner
3. Assists in emergency situations as directed
4. Ensures residents attend scheduled activities
5. Understands and maintains confidentiality of residents information and records
6. Recognizes crisis situations and provides appropriate interventions based on training and experience
7. Communicates with other team members constructively in order to reduce conflict and enhance the resolution of issues and appears professional at all times.
8. Displays the ability to communicate with others effectively, listen closely and convey points clearly.
9. Work in conjunction with other department staff to administer scheduled program curriculum and other activities utilized for treatment and rehabilitation of substance abuse.
10. Process new clients, i.e., issuance of clothing, orientation to the rules of facilities and assist clients with daily activities, events and informational literature.
11. Transport clients to appointments and other service locations outside of assigned program.

Qualifications:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older and MUST have a current valid driver’s license
2. Must be alcohol and drug-free for at least 2 years. Work area is a substance abuse program.
3. Must be able to pass a background check and not have any legal issues pending.
