So, Al Addison’s name appeared on the vote-in-person ballots but did NOT appear on the absentee ballots. NOW what? Can they simply throw out all absentee ballots? Is that fair? Don’t ALL Tribal members have a right to have their vote be counted? With as many absentee ballots as were cast, couldn’t a corrected ballot easily change the results of the election? Didn’t the Court order Al Addison’s name be placed on the ballot?
Oh NO, were DOOMED

COVID-19 claims lives of 3 Tribal Members
The Northern Arapaho Business Council regrets to announce the passing of 3 Tribal Members who’d been sickened by COVID-19.
The three deaths, announced today by the Wyoming Department of Health, includes two adult females who had been hospitalized out of state and an elder male who was a resident of a long-term care facility in Riverton. The Tribe is not identifying the Members out of respect for their families’ privacy.
Chairman Lee Spoonhunter offered sincere condolences on behalf of the NABC. He urged the Arapaho people to be especially cautious to protect themselves and their loved ones from the virus as it is spreading widely throughout Wyoming and Fremont County.
“Three deaths is the most we’ve announced on any single day since the pandemic began,” Chairman Spoonhunter said. “May our Creator bring comfort and peace to the friends and family members left behind, and may all of us recommit ourselves to slowing the spread of this terrible virus.
“Please – wear a mask, avoid gatherings and remember you’re safer at home. The life you save could be your own or that of a loved one.” ... See MoreSee Less

My spirit is hurting for you. Thinking of my folks there. Be safe and careful.
People need to maintain good hygiene and social distancing and if they’re already experiencing health issues, that should be even more of a reason to isolate and quarantine.
Yesterday we learned that Wind River Tribal Court contract Judge Mike Barton ordered the Election Committee to place former NABC Councilman Anthony “Al” Addison, Sr. on the ballot for tomorrow’s election. This was ordered despite Mr. Addison being subject to a six year ban on holding office after his appeal to General Council failed. Moreover, this order was contrary to the order of the General Council Chairman, who ordered the appeal process to have concluded. Furthermore, the order applied Eastern Shoshone law to somehow justify his claim that sovereign immunity had been waived. Perhaps most appalling is that the Judge signed the order on Friday and apparently provided it to Mr. Addison but did not provide it to the Tribe or Election Committee until Tuesday. Not only is this fraud, it is an attack on our General Council and an attack on our sovereignty – a contract Tribal Court Judge telling the Northern Arapaho General Council how we are supposed to conduct business. Make no mistake – we view this ruling as fraud and we will use all sovereign powers of the Northern Arapaho Tribe to fully investigate the judge’s actions and potential conspiracy with Mr. Addison and the permanently banned law firm of Baldwin Crocker & Rudd.
The Northern Arapaho General Council is the Supreme governing body of the Tribe. Any other view is a slap in the face to our people and a direct threat to our government. What is more concerning is the way this decision came down and the illogical reasoning behind it. This lawsuit was filed on Wednesday, November 4 and apparently a hearing was set for the morning of Tuesday, November 10. The Election Judges still to this day have not been properly served for last week’s hearing, but we found out because the hearing notice was dropped off at the Business Council office late in the afternoon of Monday, November 9. The Election Judges were threatened with being placed in jail if they did not attend the hearing as a way to coerce them to attend. After the hearing Mr. Addison had an opportunity to view the order before anyone was notified. In fact, on Monday, November 16 Mr. Addison’s daughter Sherri Groesbeck posted on Facebook that a judge ruled on the case. The Election Judges were not aware of a ruling and we had to show up to the Court Tuesday, November 17 and ask for the order. Why is it that Mr. Addison received all these documents well in advance of the Election Judges? Why is it that the Election Judges received every document at the last minute? We will not stand for anyone attacking any official of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. The Election Judges are doing the best job they can and have our thanks and appreciation. We have their backs and will appeal this terrible, illogical and fraudulent order. We will use all of our inherent sovereign powers, the strength of our ancestors and prayers of our people to defend the Election Judges, the General Council Chairman and anyone else Mr. Addison and his consultants dare threaten.
Mr. Addison refuses to follow the will of the General Council and continues to place himself above the people. The General Council declined to hear his appeal, and instead of honoring the voice of the people he attacked our sovereignty by filing a lawsuit against our Election Judges. A BCR-aligned judge issued a terrible ruling that relied on Shoshone General Council law and ignored Arapaho General Council law to force the Election Judges to add Mr. Addison back on the ballot. We think former Councilman Addison worked with the former consultants to have their friends intimidate the Election Judges. The General Council has spoken and the General Council Chairman has declared this matter over. Who is a contract judge to tell our people how to run our government? We will not stand for this and we ask you to take a stand against Mr. Addison’s treason to our people.

Well he lost anyways. But... The fact of the matter is, we are sovereign from the Shoshone Tribe. Their election laws are not the same as ours. How can a judge impose Shoshone election laws on us??? The Northern Arapaho Tribe?? You'll need to remember that we are seperate sovereign tribe.
Whats really going on? What does the current council have to hide? Why are they trying so hard to have him removed?? We'd really like to know!
You council members are embarrassing. 🤦♂️ Who writes stuff like this as the Northern Arapaho tribe? This is inappropriate and unprofessional.
Having Elder councilman Anthony Al Addison removed based on lies should be considered fraud. Whoever is running this page should remain neutral but it don’t look like it. Maybe you should remove yourself until you can be neutral?
If the Tribe doesn’t like the Judges ruling then is any case this judge rules on for Northern Arapaho Tribal Members Null and Void. Or is the Tribe going to pick and choose what court cases it follows. Seems like this sets a precedence for Northern Arapaho Tribal members not to follow court orders by contracted judges. So what is it?
Who even writes this stuff?? On behalf of the tribe
File for a TRO in federal court
Bold move telling a duly sworn Judge that his decision constitutes “fraud”. Even more bold is putting such an accusation in writing by posting it on social media. Whoever is responsible for such a ridiculous statement would do well to educate themself as to what the legal definition of fraud is, because THIS most certainly is not it. While they are at it they might want to spend a little time on what constitutes “contempt of court”. Our Tribe DOES employ a number of highly paid attorney’s. It might be worthwhile to have THEM write these posts in the future.
I wish I knew the real story. I can’t believe all this grade school drama. Why is this current Council so threatened by having him on the ballot? It’s not their choice who sits on the council, it’s the will of the people they serve. The people make their will known by voting. If the people believe the current council, they’ll vote them back in. If they believe Al Addison, they’ll vote him in. Does the current council think the voters are too stupid to make that choice?
Northern Arapaho Member passes due to COVID-19
The Northern Arapaho Tribe regrets to announce that one of its Members has passed due to COVID-19.
The individual, an adult male, was undergoing treatment for the virus at a hospital in Denver, His name is not being released out of respect for his family’s privacy.
Chairman Lee Spoonhunter of the Northern Arapaho Business Council said the loss of every Arapaho Member is deeply felt by the entire community. This week has been particularly difficult, with 3 Members succumbing to COVID-19.
“The Arapaho people are close-knit, and the loss of any Member affects all of us,” Chairman Spoonhunter said. “May our Creator bring peace and comfort to the loved ones left behind, and may all of us take this opportunity to redouble our efforts against this virus. If we as individuals and collectively as Arapaho people don’t slow this outbreak, I am gravely concerned about what the next two months will bring.” ... See MoreSee Less

My condolences to the families hurt from losing loved ones from this virus. I know everyone is trying their best to keep themselves and their families safe. I go as far as wiping off my items I buy in the store because I seen a video where people were deliberately coughing on stuff to make this spread. Stay safe!
Thank you for the update. Prayers have been said for our tribe and will continually be prayed for.
Sad for the family and our tribe. Condolences
If we put masks a manitory it won’t halo we have one out there saying it’s there constitutional rights not wear on. Just keep pestering for our love ones since that’s all we can do
📢👉If you absolutely have to go somewhere for food and necessities, mask up😷 wash ur hands and don't touch anything. Go straight home. switch shoes. Change clothes. Wash up again. Also help the little ones keep clean. 💦👶🧒🛀Wipe down everything with Clorox bleach. Remind each other. Be serious. 💗Pray.
So very sorry for the loss of your loved one. May your hearts be comforted. Love and prayers 💐 Deb Allen
Masks won't help unless people stop mingling with other people outside of their household. That's pretty much why it's spreading. It's not lack of masks it's lack of common sense to stay away from others.
When they tell you to stay home, they mean it. STAY HOME. This virus does not move around, it's all of you people being restless having to go places. Think of it like tipi days during the winter, we was still. We could do it then, let's at least try!
Can we at least make masks mandatory in public??
Condolences to the Family.
I am so sorry praying!
