Northern Arapaho Child Support Program

Reports to: NACSP Attorney, NACSP IV-D Director, Admin. Law Judge  

Pay Range:  based upon qualifications

Position Summary (Primary functions and objectives of the job)

Provide clerical support & records management, Prepares required documents and maintains official records for court action and proceedings, attends court sessions and records minutes and provides support for proceedings. Docket judgments, orders, and income assignments. Copies, files, retrieves and sorts court paper, documents and folders according to establish procedures. May be assigned other duties as needed.

Pre-employment drug screening and background check requires.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance, describe the work actually performed stressing the purpose of the work and the objectives to be accomplished.)

  1.  (60% of time) Oversees issuances of summons, subpoenas, orders and other necessary court documents pertaining to child support.

Objectives:  Processes Legal referrals and court documents to assure proper filing, distribution, and required actions by assigning codes. Maintains, monitors and disseminates information related to child support cases to provide for the timely and accurate processing of paperwork by using computer systems, manual documentation and verbal and written communication, following established child support court proceedings. Management of all court records through orderly and timely filing of court documents.

  •  (20% of the time) Maintains Child Support Court Records and Files.

Objectives: Management of all court records through orderly and timely filing of court documents. Responds to routine requests for information concerning cases, scheduling, transcribes court proceedings.

  • (10% of time) Assures that all work product is of high quality, accurate and produced in a timely manner.

Objectives; Prepares required documents and maintain official records for court actions and proceedings, attends court sessions and records minutes and provides support for proceedings.

  • (10% OF TIME) Maintains Northern Arapaho Child Support Court Docket.

Objectives; Maintains and monitors the court docket and cases to provide an established schedule of cases used to inform all participants and to assure timely hearing dates.

 Training provided: NACSP New Worker Training. The court clerk will have the opportunity to attend relevant training programs, Attend Orientation for New Employees.

Worksite Considerations:

Policies and Procedures: The personnel manual of the Northern Arapaho Tribe will govern Northern Arapaho Nation Department of Social Services. All employees are expected to be familiar with and abide by these directives. All employees will also abide by the Northern Arapaho Tribe Purchasing and Employee Travel directives.

Additionally, employees will be expected to comply with the Policy and Procedures of NACSP.

Special clothing, uniforms, safety equipment required: Employees are expected to dress business casual during office hours and May occasionally be required to dress professionally.
