Position: Summer Food Program Driver/Monitor Assistant

Program:        Blackcoal Senior Center

Opening:        June 1, 2021               Closing:          Until Filled  

Reports to:

The Delivery Driver will report to the Program Director, immediate supervisor.

Job Overview:

The Delivery Driver will be driving to the mobile food sites to serve a nutritious lunch to children ages 1 year – 18 years. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Drive vehicles to designated destinations for summer food meal sites.

Drive safely and deliver meals within deadlines.

Analyze delivery address and maintain schedule.

Report any accidents or injuries to Supervisor’s immediately.

Perform vehicle inspection such as checking fluid level and tire pressure.

Notify supervisors about any major repairs and maintenances.

Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations.

Maintain the vehicle clean and safe.

Collect payments from paying customers at meal sites.

Work with support team member to provide exceptional customer services and address customer concerns.

Adhere to tribal operating policies and procedures.

Maintain driving log.

Assist Program Monitor in setting up mobile food site (canopy, portable tables, and folding chairs).

Assist with monitoring children at mobile food site to ensure guidelines, policies and procedures are being adhered to.

Other duties as assigned.


  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
  • Must be physically able to do required work.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
