The Arapaho First Advisory Board is a composed of seven members that shall advise and work in collaboration with the business’s Chief Executive Officer on the expansion and development of Arapaho First and its subsidiaries. Members of the board shall be required to meet once a month and shall be paid per meeting. Additional meetings may be called at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer. The initial terms of the seven-member board shall be staggered with four members severing an initial one-year term and three serving an initial two-year term. After these initial terms, all additional terms shall be for two years. Members of the board are term limited and may only serve three consecutive terms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to assist the Chief Executive Officer oversee Arapaho First and all of its subsidiaries as businesses intended to create long-term revenue streams for the Tribe.
  • Drive the communication of the Northern Arapaho Business’ mission/vision and objectives through all levels of each business.
  • Assist in development of strategic business plans for each business, as well as updates as necessary.
  • Develop plans to expand Arapaho First and its subsidiaries to create reliable revenue streams for the Tribe.
  • Facilitate regular scheduled meetings with each business to ensure communication of operational efficiencies throughout the Northern Arapaho Tribe’s businesses and management team.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Chief Executive Officer of Arapaho First and the Northern Arapaho Business Council.
  • Review cost and operational efficiencies to enhance operational performance and growth.
  • Drive the successful operational mission set forth by The Tribe’s business organization.
  • Assist the Chief Executive Officer in coordinating operational activities in accordance with the current business policies and objectives to promote and provide maximum long-term profit and return for The Tribe
  • Provide and present short-term and long-term performance and financial goals
  • Regularly reviews and evaluates each business’ goals and evaluates operational performance, working with the Chief Executive Officer to help each business improve performance and financial metrics
  • Develop an analysis of operations and communicate suggestions for continuous improvements
  • Work with Northern Arapaho Businesses to ensure all reports, financial statements, applicable certificates, insurance or bonding, are properly kept and updated accordingly
  • Attend monthly Arapaho First Advisory Board meetings


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Organizational Development or related field preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Previous experience managing Tribal Business Operations at a Director level or higher OR experience working in management of other business operations required
  • MUST have at least two (2) years of administrative and fiscal responsibility
  • Possess leadership ability, organizational, and strategic abilities
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and insurable under the company’s insurance carrier
  • May not be an immediate family member of either the current Chief Executive Officer of Arapaho First or current members of the Northern Arapaho Business Council.
  • May not be a current employee of Arapaho First or any of its subsidiaries
  • May not have a financial interest in Arapaho First or any of its subsidiaries
