Position:         Gaming Commissioner (Full-Time, On- Call 24/7)

Program:        Northern Arapaho Gaming Agency

Reports to:     Northern Arapaho Business Council

Position Summary:

Northern Arapaho Agency member serves as one of three voting members of the agency. Responsible for regulatory oversight of Tribal Class II and Class III Gaming. NAGA members are responsible for regulations, technical standards and internal controls of the of the Northern Arapaho Tribes gaming codes.

Reviews, approves, and implements regulations, policies, and procedures. Review background investigation results of candidates and recommends license suitability.

As a NAGA member will assist with extensive background investigations of potential vendors of gaming services or supplies and assists with gaming related investigations. Receives and assist license candidates with gaming license documents. Observes gaming activities for compliance at Tribal gaming facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

All candidates must be enrolled members of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s Degree, or at least four years of experience in governmental managerial position.

Should possess the ability to read, write and interpret highly technical written materials. Ability to continuously maintain strict confidentiality is required. NAGA member must possess the ability be able to converse well with the Public, Tribal Member, Co-Workers, and License holders.

NAGA member must have a positive personal and professional history for at least 10 years, with no derogatory arrest/ detention records. Must be able to pass background investigation and pass pre-employment and random drug testing. Experience in Class II and III Indian gaming preferred. Must be able to adhere to and enforce Tribal Game Code.

This is a safety sensitive Job Position
